Obituary for Stephen Alexander "Steve" Playford

Stephen was born to John and Elizabeth Playford on July 29, 1924, near Tisdale, Saskatchewan. He was the fifth child born of seven. He spent 80 years on the family farm at Allanville, Saskatchewan. Steve also received all his education at Allanville School.
Steve spent his winters in logging camps, but farming was always in his heart and his main love. Even though he spent his last years in his "Little House" in Tisdale, the family farm was always on his mind. Stephen spent the last few months at the Arborfield Care Center and Newmarket Manor; where he received wonderful care.
Steve enjoyed sports, especially hockey; he enjoyed watching his favorite NHL team play, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also loved going for car rides out in the country; especially in the prime farming seasons of seeding and harvest.
Steve was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Playford, his only sister Nan (Rolland) Welsch, brothers: Harold (Kathleen) Playford, Allan (Rhoda) Playford, Russell Playford and Robert Playford; and nephew Don Playford.
Left to cherish his memory is his brother Ken (Roberta) Playford and his 15 nephews and nieces and their familles; as well as extended family and friends.
Steve was a very caring person and loved spending time with his family, and having some very good visits with his brother Ken. We will all really miss his dry humor. Love you, Steve.
