    Obituary for Annie Ziobrowski

    Annie Ziobrowski
Annie Ziobrowski was born Anisja Bogaczewski on January 4, 1924 in Holowne, Poland. She immigrated to Canada with her parents (George and Helen) in 1928. They settled on a homestead at Yellow Creek, Sk just as the "dirty 30's" recession started and then they moved to the Porcupine Plain area of Sk. Annie started working off the farm when she was 13 years old and ended up taking work at Wakaw, Sk where she met and married Peter Ziobrowski in 1942.

For the next 19 years, Annie and Peter operated a farm and blacksmith shop at Clashmoor where Annie's love and skills at gardening and food preservation produced the entire family's needs for fruits and vegetables, as well as always having some extra to give away to friends and family.

Annie and Pete moved to Tisdale in 1957 where Annie worked as a matron at the RCMP holding cells and later as a cook at M&K service.

Annie will be greatly missed by her sons: Edward (Teresa) of Powell River and Paul (Wanda) of Prince Albert and Grandchildren: Marlene (Carl) of Toronto, Trevor of Edmonton,Cindy of Calgary and Kim (Zane) of Calgary.

Annie is survived by her 5 sisters and one brother: Sophie Martyn, Mary Serhan (Joe), Steve Bohachewski (Joyce), Alice Callens (Larry), Olga Kanak (Alex), and Linda Finlayson. She is also survived by brother-in-law Bill Serhan, sister-in-law Peggy Beresh and sister-in-law Donelda Saufert. She is pre-deceased by her husband (Peter), parents (Helen and George), sisters Parishka Bohachewski and Joyce Serhan, brothers William Bohachewski and Joe Bohachewski, brothers-in-laws Bert Martyn, Gilbert Hansen and Arthur Finlayson.
