Obituary for Laura Lynn Fofonoff

Laura Lynn Fofonoff was born to Peter and Lynn (Magnus) Fofonoff on July 27, 1971 in Kamsack Saskatchewan. On December 8th 2014 Laura Lynn passed away at the age of 43years.

Laura grew up and received her education at Tisdale Sask. As a young person Laura enjoyed Brownies and Girl Guides and later was involved with Ballet; many times she would stand in front of her mirror practicing her steps. Childhood led to the teenage years which meant boy crazy; and Mom and Dad not knowing anything and were old fashioned, the telephone wires were hot with use. How she blossomed into such a beautiful young lady, always having a kind word especially for the less fortunate.

Singing was one of Laura's love's; she loved family gathering's especially when there was sing-a-longs and her Dad as well as playing the guitar and accordion. Many hours were spent in her room with her ghetto-blaster and a spoon for a microphone practicing her favorite songs. Spending time with her best friends Laura and Lisa was a high-lite in her life, for a while we thought they were all joined at the hip.

Later in life Laura moved to Saskatoon to seek employment and was able to find a job as a Nanny looking after three children and a household. Loving children was easy for her and she treated those children as her own. Laura returned back to Tisdale where the love of her life was born Brandon James Fofonoff on January 13th 1995, living in Tisdale Laura was busy raising her son and working at various local businesses. Laura had a hobby as a doll collector and fuzzy stuffed animals; porcelain dolls were her favorites and her collection grew with the passing years with quite a variety of shapes, styles and sizes. She was always available to help with community volunteering, no matter what the job was or how many curves were thrown at her Laura always had a smile and a kind word to say.

Laura Lynn is predeceased by her brother, James Peter Fofonoff and an infant brother.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Brandon James Fofonoff and her parents Peter and Lynn Fofonoff and special soul mate Cameron Martin; loving uncles and aunts, Ken and Maxine Will, Jim and Twyla Magnus, Joanne Magnus and nephew Parker Fofonoff ,niece Jaycie Fofonoff; as well as many cousins, close relatives and friends.

Services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice as a token of remembrance.
