Obituary for Jerry Swinburn Smith

The family of the late Jerry Swinburn Smith are deeply saddened to announce his unexpected passing on November 3, 2015 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.

Jerry was born to Robert and Lily Smith in Tisdale on July 14, 1938. He attended Salopian School until his love of farming became his career.

During the winter months Jerry worked in the nickel mines in Thompson, Manitoba. He later went to work for a sawmill in Prince George, British Columbia to keep himself busy. The farm was in the family for 94 years until Jerry sold it in 1998; he then moved into Tisdale where he resided until his passing.

Jerry is predeceased by his parents Robert and Lily, brother Robert and sister Shirley.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother Lyle (Evelyn) and their children: Kerry & Patricia; nieces Jerri Dawn & Jody; as well as many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
