Obituary for Lillian May Kidney

Lillian Kidney passed away peacefully at Tisdale Union Hospital after a courageous battle from having a massive stroke.
She was born on May 7, 1926, the youngest of ten children of Jacob and Sophia Ruether. She was raised on the farm near Bjorkdale. She attended school at Sunny Brow district. She loved life; as a child she loved horseback riding and sports. There was hard work on the farm but there was also lots of fun and music. She was the singer in the Ruether Orchestra for many years.
Lillian married Sammy Kidney in 1945. They farmed and raised six children in the Sylvania district. She loved to hunt, fish, golf, curl, sing and dance. But most of all she loved her family, even though we put her through many worries. She was always ready for any adventure. She was the anchor of our family and will be incredibly missed but we take comfort in knowing that she is in heaven with Daddy and Alvin.
Lillian was predeceased by Sammy in 1992 and Alvin in 2003.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Shirley Edmunds and Sharlene (Rob) Rederburg, sons Larry, Alex and Dean and granddaughter Melanie (Seth and Jade) Saretzky, as well as many extended family and friends.
