Obituary for Norman Roy

Norman Roy was born in Eastend in 1925 to parents Joseph and Josephine Roy. In 1929 his family moved to a farm located between Zenon Park and Arborfield. He attended Treasure School which was across from their homestead.
As a young man, he helped out on the farm and spent winters logging and clearing forests in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Ontario. He took over the family farm once his parents moved to Zenon Park. Norman married Jeannette Piquette from Shaunavon in 1960. Together they raised six children.
Norman loved farming, playing cards and curling. He was a dedicated member of the local Knights of Columbus, and supported the community through various activities.
Norman was predeceased by his father Joseph (1969), brother Roger (1975), mother Josephine (1994), son Andre (1994) and sister Ramona (2006).
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years Jeannette; children: Diane (Albert) Perrault and their family Denis (Alisha and Ryan) and Roland; Gerry (Kathy) Roy and their family Andrew and Rebecca; Richard (Ramona) Roy and their family Evan and Nathan; Rita (Neil Kreger) Roy; and Louise (Thor) Berge and their family Allison, Caitlin and Madelin; sister Gilberte Roy and brother-in-law Noel Piquette; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
