Obituary for Eva Gail Lowe

Eva Gail Lowe (nee Simpson) was born August 9, 1946 in Tisdale Saskatchewan to parents Thomas and Daisy Simpson. Gail passed away from this life August 31, 2016 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan with her family by her side.

Gail grew up in Tisdale and lived throughout Saskatchewan only to come home to Tisdale 26 years ago. Gail had many talents and hobbies which included figure skating, she was a very skilled figure skater and passed her knowledge on teaching others for years. She had her Daycare for many years where she started teaching painting to the kids which turned into teaching adults to paint which turned into her Stampin Up career where she taught many people to make cards. Through Stampin Up she was able to show her artistic talent and travel around the world many times. She was blessed to have had one of her Daycare kids grow up to be a nurse who helped look after her through her last months. She touched many people through her life and few will forget her. She was loved by her family tremendously. On July 5, 1998 Gail married Murray Lowe; and together they shared many great times and made so many memories over their 18 years together.

Gail was predeceased by her parents Tom Simpson (1960) and Daisy (Collison) Simpson (1995); brothers Gerald Simpson (1959) and Bill Simpson (1980); brothers-in-law Grant Fish (1987), Bill Hamilton (1991), Wes Brigham (1999), and Maynard Craig (2010); grandson Sabre McKinley Byers (1986); former husband Vernon Byers (2016), and mother-in-law Alice Louise Lowe (2011).

Left to cherish Gail’s memory is her husband Murray Lowe; son Lyndon Byers and family of Boston, MA; son Shaun Byers (Jaime Ruether) of Bentley, AB; daughter Tamara Houk of Tisdale; grandchildren Kia (Byers) Schollar of Regina, Rael and Ayden Byers-Giroux of Regina, and Zoe Houk of Tisdale; brothers Jim (Tena) Simpson of Lloydminster and Barry (Linda) Simpson of Charlotte, NC; sisters Marion Fish (Alf Hoffman) of Kenora, ON, June Hamilton of Saskatoon, Verla Craig of Calgary, AB, and Isabell Brigham (Gavin Dow) of Nipawin; sister-in-law Shirley Edmunds, numerous nieces and nephews and their families; former husband Tony Houk of Nipawin; many dear friends, her Stampin’ Up family, and all of her daycare kids.
