Baba passed away so very peacefully with family at her side. She was born March 19, 1936 to parents Bill and Olga Bowkowy in Aberdeen, Sk. She grew up with 8 siblings in the Aberdeen area.
She met the love of her life Bob and they were married in 1954. To this union 4 children were born: Lawrence, Lyle, Darrel and Bonnie. They lived in Aberdeen, Saskatoon and moved to Gronlid in 1976. The whole family took part in running the Gronlid Hotel, Bar and Restaurant.
In 1978 Bob passed away suddenly. Baba then returned to Saskatoon where she lived in many different apartments. She babysat for many years and even adopted a few more grandchildren. Baba enjoyed playing Bingo and watching her soaps on TV. She loved when the grandchildren came to visit and have sleepovers. Trips to the Kinsmen Park were treasured by the grandchildren.
Baba broke her hip Christmas Eve 2015 and after recovery she moved to Diefenbaker Tower, in Melfort. She remained here till her passing.
Baba is predeceased by her parents, her husband Bob, son Lawrence, sisters Justina and Debbie, brothers-in-law Nick and Tony and nephews Warren and Wayne.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Lyle and Darrel (Moe) and daughter Bonnie (Dave); grandchildren: Angela (Jason), Jessica (Greg), Breanne, Sheldon (Jessica), Holly, Quinn (Lyle), Niki (Norm), Rowan (Shane), Liam and Kasyn; great grandchildren: Noah and Kaiwren, Ariel and Harley, Peregrin, Estella and Grey, Blaine and Alexi, Zoe, Kaiden and Axton, Claire and Olivia; sisters: Albina (Jake), Hope (Neils) and Faye; brothers: Wally (Ada), Bobby and Raymond (Carol); as well as many nieces and nephews.
