Francis Evelyn Mae was born March 5, 1934 to William and Olive Lillian Robinson in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Fran grew up first in Prince Albert and then moved to crooked River. As a young girl she worked at the Tisdale Hospital as an Aide.
She met and married Alvin Wallington at the age of sixteen; together they raised five children: Donna (Greg Fritshaw), Lionel (Dianne Beaudette), Sharlene (Art Olliver), Chris (Garth Keays) and Sandra (Brad Tokaruk). Their family grew over the years to include grandchildren: Candi, Wade (Lynette), Matt (Jules), Adrienne (Aaron), Jennifer (Travis), Trent (Chantelle), Trisha (Stan), Tyler (Joanna), Jesse (Brittany), Garrett, Kalim, Joal, Logan, Cami, Matt (Jenna) and Megan (Chad); and extending to great grandchildren: Taylor, Jade, Tsar, Tasen, Jaida, Adison, Dace, Noelle, Cole, Carson, Sloane, Lincoln, Drayden, Keanen, Dylan, Annika, Kostyn, Darien, Aleah and Jalan. We are a very diverse family, But (mom, grandma, great grandma) was able to form a special bond with each of us. She was very supportive and always put her family and many friends ahead of herself. Fran always had a smile on her face, It didn’t matter if she knew you or not.
Fran loved to square dance, golf, play cards, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She was an awesome cook; her fresh bread, cinnamon buns and pies were always a hit. Fran and Al farmed for many years; dad working the land and mom looking after the home front. Together, side by side they created a home full of love and memories.
Left to cherish Fran’s memory is her loving husband of 67 years, her children and their families, sisters Joyce and Ruth and brother Bill; as well as many more extended family and friends.
Fran was predeceased by her parents William and Lillian Robinson, Alvin’s parents Cecil and Lily Wallington, sisters: Wilma, Audrey, Pat and Doris, and grandson Garrett Keays, who met her at heaven’s door.
