Obituary for Carol Ann Burns

Carol Ann Burns was born on February 19, 1941 in the family home in Creighton, Saskatchewan to parents Charles and Astird (Esther) Johnson along with her twin brother Carl. She would later become a big sister to her brother George. Growing up Carol attended Creighton Community School and as she got older she worked as a waitress at the Chinese Cafe in town.

Carol loved children and enjoyed babysitting for friends and family. She was babysitting for Don and June Stoltz when she met June's brother Roy Burns and so began their love story. Carol and Roy married on October 12, 1963. Together they farmed in the Silver Stream and Crooked River District for several decades. They went on to have three sons: Bernard, Edward and Keith. Carol enjoyed canning, taking care of her many plants and feeding her family and friends. If you were at the house at meal time, she expected you to sit down and eat, no exceptions!

Carol is predeceased by her parents, brother George and loving husband Roy Burns.

Left to cherish Carol's memory are her children Bernard (Alice), Edward, and Keith (Joy); grandchildren Adele (Joshua), Amanda, Shawn, Alexa, Hayley, and Ronan; her brother Carl; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
