    Obituary for Gordon Lee Deforest

    Print
Gordon Lee Deforest was born August 17, 1986 in Tisdale. He was the fourth born child to Anne and Dave. He attended grades K to 6 at Sylvania School and then went to Tisdale School. Gordon was currently attending the Cumberland College in Tisdale at the time of his passing.
Gordon’s elementary years kept him very active, being involved in hockey baseball, curling and air cadets. As he moved into his teen years, Gord found he had a love of golf, and with every sport Gordon tried his hand at – golf was no different; he seemed to excel at any sport he set his mind to. Thru the years, Gordon found he connected with music. In his early teens he was involved in a band with his friends, and this love of music has stayed strong with him thru the entirety of his life. He was always singing, his music turned up loud, or at times the music quiet in his headphones, yet he was still singing out loud.
Gordon’s working years were spent mostly operating heavy equipment and moving earth. He had a strong knowledge of the road construction industry. More recently Gordon took up a sales position at his sister’s retail store. His outgoing personality made him an excellent sales person. He built a lot of new relationships in the community thru the local job. Gordon’s greatest accomplishment in life will live within his son.
Gordon is predeceased by his two grandfathers, Gordon Deforest Sr. and Lee Davis, and his uncle Brian Deforest.
Gordon’s memory lives on through his son Chevy, parents Dave and Anne, sister Twila, niece Isabelle, sister Teana (Fred), niece Gracilyn, brother Brian (Morgan) niece Sierra, nephew Aaron, grandmothers: Doreen Deforest and Yvonne Davis; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
