Linda Turnbull (Wandler) was born in Leader, Sask. on July 29, 1952 to parents Walter and Bertha Wandler. She was raised on the family farm south of Fox Valley, Sask. where she also attended her schooling. At the age of 14 Linda and her family moved from the farm into Fox Valley where she lived until she left for school in Moose Jaw. Linda attended STI and took a Secretary's course; it was at this time where she met her husband Robert. Robert and Linda were married in July of 1975.
In September they moved back to Tisdale where Robert was employed. Two years after moving to Tisdale they were blessed with their first son Ryan; and four years later blessed with son Ian. Linda spent her boys early years running then to school and their sports and other activities. Linda worked at Extra Foods in the bakery for a few years; after the boys had grown up she took a Special Care Aid course and went to work at New Market Manor. After several years there; she ended up having to take long term disability and decided to stay at home.
Linda enjoyed many activities and hobbies; she became involved with the quitters group in Tisdale and spent many hours working with them on quilts. She also enjoyed many hours in her garden and tending to her many flowers around the house at the farm. Linda also loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends around the fire pit in the evenings sharing many good times. Another hobby of Linda's was scrap booking and card making. Linda also loved book club, which she attended weekly.
Linda is predeceased by her parents, brothers Art and Richard and her nephew Jason.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Robert; sons Ryan and Ian; sisters Diane and Frances; sisters-in-law Edna and Linda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
