Elaine Dorothy Erickson (nee Pearson) passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 23, 2014 in the Tisdale Hospital at the age of 72. Elaine was born on April 12, 1942 to Lillian Pearson. She was raised by her grandparents Nels and Marianne Pearson since her mother passed away when she was 2.
Elaine met Walter Erickson and they were married November 4, 1960 and were blessed with 9 children. Elaine lived a very happy life; she enjoyed singing, dancing, spending time with her kids, gardening, doing puzzles and many other activities that surrounded her with family and friends. Mom loved to help people, always welcomed people with a smile and her arms open for a hug. Elaine also loved attending church and working at the Salvation Army thrift store, where she met and helped a lot of people.
Elaine is predeceased by her loving husband Walter Erickson, daughters Coreen Wallace and Rhonda Erickson; mother Lillian Pearson; her sisters and brother Peter Pearson as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Lorraine (Fred) Boe, Karen Waldner, Mona (Rodney) Doerksen, David Erickson, Rodney (Shirley) Erickson, Roger Erickson and Lisa (Bryan) Glenn; sons-in-law Robert Wallace and Barry Waldner; grandchildren: Darcy, Amy (Ken), Amanda, Bev (Kevin), Dennis, Daryl (Amanda), Christine, Rachel (Scott), Justin (Jen), Kyle (Leah), Chris (Tanya), Jeff (Chelsey), Nadine, Tyler, Johhny, Cassidy, Kody, Carter, Jordon, Jayden, Keisha, Kaylon, Tyson, Latisha (Cole) and Kyra (Cole); as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
