Mom was born in Star City, SK, on May 20, 1928 to Alma and Edgar Mooney. She married Clifford Jones on March 4, 1948. They were blessed with 7 children. Mom was raised on a farm; she married a farmer, and retired from the farm in 1979. She became active with the Star City Museum board soon after. She loved working with the board and learning about local families from the donations that came through the doors.
Mom liked to garden, she liked the fresh vegetables, nothing tasted better than a tomato from her garden. She had lots of flowers and enjoyed them all. Mom enjoyed knitting, she made many mitts and sweaters for every child and grandchild until her hands could no longer handle it.
Her family was very important to her; she wanted us all to know who our relatives were.

Gail (Georgina); his son Ryan Montes; their daughters: Elizabeth (Michael Beeching) and Yvette and her daughter Makayla. Noreen (Shawn) Mason – her daughters Joelle Nielson, Stacie Nielsen (Jesse Freeland) her son Brayden Nordstrom and their daughter River, Lisa (Jon) O’Neil, Shawn’s sons Joe and Nick. David (Moniqua)- his son Jayde and their sons Tyson and Colby. Nancy Graham and her daughters Shelby (Travis Radom) and Katlyn. She is also survived by a sister Shirley (Glenn) Edmunds; and brothers: Bryan (Jean); Vaughan (Dorothy) and Dwayne (Marcy); Sister in laws: Fern Mooney; Cora Jones and Irene Jones as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
