Lynn Bette Fofonoff was born to Hans and Bette (Gisi) Magnus on May18, 1947 in Tisdale Saskatchewan. On Aug 14, 2016 Lynn passed away at the age of 69 years.

Lynn lived in Tisdale until she was 4 years old, then her family moved to Arborfield, Saskatchewan. Lynn started to get her education in Arborfield, at the age of 14 years she moved back with her family to Tisdale Saskatchewan. Lynn completed her High School in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and graduated in 1965. she attended the University of Saskatchewan for a short while, and then enrolled in Robertson Secretarial School in Saskatoon, Sask. After graduating from Robertson Secretarial School she was employed with a Law firm in Tisdale Sask Woolard and Asseltine, and then moved on to Hudson Bay, Sask. and was employed with the local paper The Post Review as a print setter.

In the fall of 1967, Lynn met the love of her life Peter; it was by chance, while attending Robertson Secretarial school, a bull dozer ran into a wall and the school was shut down for repair so she was back in Tisdale having fun at a house party, where Peter was also there and the rest was history. Lynn and Peter were married in Tisdale on November 1, 1969, other than a few short years away they resided in Tisdale to this day.

Lynn's love for music and books started at a very young age back in Arborfield, Sask. taking voice lessons, singing with her sister Maxine in the church choir attending talent shows, and singing at family functions. This continued into her later years in Tisdale also singing at a church choir and especially looking forward to family get togethers where music and song was always present. Book reading was also a special love for Lynn, over the years there was hundreds of books and novels that she read and reread right up to today’s technology of E-Readers. Quilting, knitting, sewing and anything to do with cloth were Lynn’s other hobbies, many quilts were made for family members and friends, her love for cooking started at a young age helping her mother Bette, who passed on her knowledge to Lynn. Sadly as the years went by her health was starting to deteriorate which limited her to most activities, but with Lynn’s incredible courage and determination she continued to go on family trips throughout Canada and the United States, visiting with her parents in Mesa, Arizona and many other tourist locations.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents Hans and Bette Magnus, brother Mark Magnus, an infant son and an adult son James Peter Fofonoff, and daughter Laura Lynn Fofonoff.

Survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Peter; grandchildren: Brandon, Parker and Jaycie Fofonoff; sister Maxine (Kenn) Will and their family Andrew (Karen), Chad (Angela), Regan (Amanda); brother Jim (Twyla) Magnus and their family Lisa (Andy) Moore, Erin (Anthony) Andrews, Jared Magnus; sister Joanne Magnus; aunt Lois; aunt Iris and uncle Vern Magnus; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and wonderful friends.
