It is with much love and sadness that we announce the passing of Eugenia ``Jean`` Bodnar (nee Kobrynsky) on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Pineview Lodge in Nipawin at the age of 82 years with family by her side. Eugenia Bodnar was born July 19, 1934, and raised in the Smuts district. She met and later married Karpo Bodnar on June 5, 1954, spending 61 years together. They had supported the Tisdale community through their restaurant business, the Roman Catholic Church and the Tisdale Trojans Hockey Club. Mom loved to make perogies and cabbage rolls which her family always enjoyed and family kaiser matches followed many, many times. Eugenia was predeceased by her husband Karpo in June 2015; her parents Frances in 1982 and Dmytro in 1980; her brother Steve in 1996; and her sister Rosie in 2013. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Elaine of North Battleford, SK., and Val (Terry) of Nipawin, SK.; grandsons Ricky (Jen) Kostiuk of North Battleford, SK., Andy (Megan) Kostiuk of Lloydminster, AB., Steven (Jenna) Slusar of Nipawin, SK. and Jonathan (mom`s Little Jonny) Slusar of Nipawin, SK.; great granddaughters Gemma and Vada Kostiuk of Lloydminster, AB., Summer Kostiuk of North Battleford, SK., and great grandson Jaden Slusar of Nipawin, SK.; brother Marian (Sophie) Kobrynsky of Rosthern, SK.; sister in-law Lillian Kobrynsky and co-sister-in-law Anne Bodnar of Mississauga, ONT; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sadly missed but her memory will live on with all of us.
