Obituary for Donald Vincent Kennedy

Donald Kennedy passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Mildred by his side on October 15, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Donald was born June 21, 1943 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to Elgin & Velma Kennedy. He was raised in the Leacross area where he continued to live until his passing.
In 1968, he married the love of his life, Mildred Hancock. For 7 years they farmed during the summers and spent the winters in a logging camp near Fort St. John, BC. Once their family had grown to school age they made the decision to stay on the farm year round to raise their girls. Donald was a devoted husband, father & grandfather.
He was happiest when he was working on his D6 Cat, John Deere tractors and with his Black Angus herd of cattle. Donald was employed by the RM of Connaught for 32 years as a cat operator and then in 2004 as a mower operator. He took great pride in his work, enjoying the job he was doing.
He was predeceased by his father, Elgin Kennedy; mother, Velma (Marsonette, Kennedy) Loskot; step-father, Joe Loskot; father-in-law, Clifford Hancock; mother-in-law, Annie Hancock; sister-in-law, Edith Robinson & brother-in-law, Donald Hancock.
