    Obituary for Raelene Ann Franklin-Kohle

    Raelene Ann Franklin-Kohle
Raelene Ann Franklin, a beautiful baby girl came into this world on July 22, 1985, Tisdale, Saskatchewan to parents Barry and Debbie Franklin; little sister to Heather and Darci and big sister to Devon. She attended school in Tisdale, Sask; graduating from TMSS in 2003 and received Valedictorian honors from her graduating class. Raelene went on to Moose Jaw and attended SIAST for Business/Accounting. After graduating from SIAST in 2005 she returned to Tisdale and was employed by Anna McEwen Accounting and then for Jellicoe Accounting. Raelene continued with her education and completed her CGA designation in 2009.
Mexico 2012; Raelene met Jason and their love Story began. They discovered that ironically they only lived one hour apart. After some shrewd detective work (Facebook) Jason hunted down her number and that was the beginning of many miles travelled over the next two years. Jason and Rae complimented each other perfectly, what one needed the other could give. They had so much in common and shared so many interests that after two years, they decided to begin their “forever” life in Tisdale and purchased an acreage to make their home. The romance continued and their commitment deepened and wedding planning began. Jason and Rae were married July 30, 2016.
Rae lived life with zest, energy and sparkle. The twinkle in her eye meant a thousand things to a thousand people. This approach to life brought with it a strong commitment to community and she served as a dedicated and active member of the Kinettes. She organized and participated in many different community fundraisers and was always willing to lend a hand. On July 10, 2018, Rae was able to experience first-hand the fruits of her labour, when she got to “go for a zip” on Rae’s Action Skate Park. The smile on her face that day was priceless and she was so proud of what the community of Tisdale was able to build. In May 2017, she was awarded a Lifetime Membership with the Kinettes.
Family was very important to Raelene, enjoying family holidays at Greenwater Lake, Marean Lake and Manitou Beach. Raelene had a ton of friends she had so many good times with. She enjoyed camping, fishing, skidooing, playing cards, golfing, reading and volunteering her time helping with many community events.
In September 2013, Raelene was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. For five years, with a positive attitude throughout she fought a brave, courageous battle, with Jason by her side taking care of her throughout the illness.
Raelene is predeceased by her father Barry Franklin, grandparents: Marshall (Ethel) Franklin, Jim and Ann Svennes, aunt Marla and uncle Leonard.
Left to cherish her memories and lovingly remembered by her husband Jason Kohle, mother Debbie Franklin, brother Devon Franklin, sister Heather (Lee) Whitelaw and family and Darci Baillie and family; mother and father-in-law Wally & Lynn Kohle; sisters-in-law Kara (Barry) and family, Michelle (Rob) and family; uncles Fred (Lorainne) and family, Mark (Kathy) and family and Glen (Arlene) and Family; aunt Maxine and family; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.
