Alice Moen of Tisdale, Saskatchewan passed away on April 19, 2019 at the
Bethany Centre in Sylvan Lake, Alberta at the age of 94, with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory are her Sons Gerald (Shirley) and Allan (Diane) Moen; five grandchildren Tracy, Kelly (Cathy), Tricia (Wyatt), Tara (Darren), and Trevor (Genn), and ten great-grandchildren. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Norman in 2015. A Celebration of life service and luncheon will be held May 3, 2019 in the Bjorkdale Hall at 1:00 PM
Alice Moen (Cherniak) was born in the Ukraine on Jan 5, 1925 to parents Eugenia and Jacob Cherniak.
She moved to Canada in 1930.
Alice married Norman Moen on Dec 23,1945. They farmed in Bjorkdale for 55 years, retiring to Tisdale in 1995. After retiring they spent their time travelling. Spending 16 winters in Mesa, Arizona, then another ten years travelling to other places, such as Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Asia, South America, Holland and many places in Canada and in the USA.
