Alma Korback was born January 14, 1926 to Helen and Norm Slobodian, at Clair, Saskatchewan. She attended Hunters Hill School she continued to work on the family farm until marriage to William Korback on September 2, 1945. They had a mixed farming operation which they ran until 1960 when they moved into the town of Quill Lake. Alma then worked at the Quill Lake Hotel. In 1968 she attended the SIAST Saskatoon Campus for training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She obtained a position with the St. Therese Hospital in Tisdale. She remained in her position when the hospital became the Tisdale Union Hospital. She retired in 1992 and remained in the Tisdale area until her passing on May 2, 2020.
