Obituary for Robert Nelson "Bob" Lee

Robert (Bob) Nelson Lee was born on August 31, 1923, in Carman, Manitoba to parents James and Mary Lee. Bob passed from this life on August 18, 2020, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan at 96 years of age.

Bob moved with his family to the Sylvania area in 1927. He attended school at Golburn, but left school at an early age to help on the family farm as well as work in bush camps in the winter.

Bob met the love of his life Jenny Kuny in 1946. They were married in 1948. This union blessed them with four children: Kenneth (Susan) Lee, Phyllis (Dan) Nieman, James Lee and Shelley (Ken) Ratcliffe. Bob continued farming and working in bush camps, and in 1958 he started his own business, the Service Station at Sylvania corner. Bob and Jenny ran the Service Station and salvage yard until Bob retired at 70 years of age.

In retirement Bob enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and restoring tractors. He restored 105 tractors and numerous pieces of other antique machinery and furniture. Bob always helped other people. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, putting others before himself.

Bob is predeceased by his parents and 9 of his siblings.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 72 years Jenny; his four children and their spouses, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard,
But always near,
So loved, so missed,
So very dear.
