Obituary for Hazel Mae Coulter

Hazel Mae Coulter was born May 25, 1917 to Orville and Venice Wells at Blucher, Saskatchewan. She was the oldest and only daughter with five brothers to follow; Edward, Elmer, Albert, Dennis and Douglas.
Mom attended Fern Glen School then went on to complete her hairdressing certificate at Marvel Beauty College in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
October 25, 1938 she married H. E. (Tink) Coulter in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. They lived and farmed in the Runciman District until 1994 when dad was stricken with Alzheimer’s; at which time mom moved off the farm to McKay Tower in Tisdale, Saskatchewan.
Mom was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Church Women and active in the Eastern Star. She was an excellent cook, homemaker, and partner.
We will always remember her when we open our closets to an array of colored hangers. She loved to knit (socks and mitts), crochet and quilt. Many family and friends were the recipients of her work.
February 2019 Mom moved to Newmarket Place, Tisdale, Saskatchewan where she resided until her passing on September 26, 2020
Mom was predeceased by her daughter Marlene (September 26/1939 – 1943), Tink (1996), grandson Timothy (1999) and four brothers.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother Douglas, her sister-in-law Mrs. Elmer (Marj) Wells and her five children Gerald (Shirley) Coulter, Gloria (Orval) Arneson, Brian (Elaine) Coulter, Heather (Ted) Reese and Maxine (Everett) Sisson; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends.

Mom’s golden rule “do unto others as you would have others do unto you “and “if you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all.”

Rest in Peace Mom – We Love You!
