Obituary for John Victor Dzik

John was born on November 27th, 1942 on the family homestead at Eldersley Sask. He was the second of five children. Left to remember John is his sister Josephine (Richard), brothers Henry, Tony and Eddie (Janet) as well two nieces and three nephews.
John grew up on the family farm and took his schooling in Eldersley and Tisdale. From an early age John was destined to be a farmer, he often said that he started farming at the age of four taking care of the family horses with his dad. John had a passion for farm life and continued farming until his passing.
John loved his 986 IHC tractor and was also at his best sitting behind the wheel throttling up the engine and grinning proudly. John often said I’m a “tractor man you know!”
John loved to reminisce about past events with family, friends and acquaintances. He had a uncanny ability to recall exact dates and details of every situations or disagreements. Often John would finish his conversation with a boisterous “That’s the way...you know!”
Only in the last couple years did he throttle back his energy and as he battled cancer.
