Obituary for Arla Frances Fredin

Arla Frances Fredin was born on July 8, 1931 at Spalding Saskatchewan to Louis Samuel "Fred" Dunn and Lorena Dunn (Parker). She had two siblings, Donald (Mary) Dunn and Lorna (Earl) Rice. She married the love of her life Alvin Fredin on February 3, 1949 and they had three children Betty, Glen and Ray. Alra spent many years alongside Alvin roping and riding in community pastures. She was gifted in carpentry and played a very big role in building their own home which she spent most of her life in east of Pleasantdale SK. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a hunting enthusiast in fact, she shot a bull moose at the age of 81. When she wasn't outdoors you could find her painting nature and wildlife scenery, playing cards, or sewing blankets and clothing for her grandchildren. Arla was very artistic and a wonderful writer, she often wrote poems for her family. She painted on anything from a cream can to a saw blade and over the years received many awards for her work. Arla will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Betty (Roy) Mann, Glen (Debbie) Fredin, and Ray (Connie) Fredin. Her grandchildren: Penny (Darryl) Ulledal, Morely (Theresa) Mann, Warren (Amy) Fredin, Wes (Marni) Fredin, Wendy (Brent) Irving, Raelene (Cody) Fredin, and Alissa (Keith) Altermatt. She also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Husband Alvin, her parents and her siblings.
