Obituary for Richard Alan James Renaud

Richard Renaud was born on August 10, 1961 in Shellbrook, SK, and passed away January 24, 2021 in Tisdale, SK at the age of 59. Richard was the fifth of seven siblings.

Richard had many professions from grocery clerk, community college teacher, computer tech at Canadian Air and Northern Steel, installing satellite dishes, computer repair to real estate, working until severe back problems made it impossible. He was a gentle soul, so in tune with nature. Richard was happiest sitting outside day or night listening to his birds and scanning the universe, with his bible by his side, or tending to his amazing plants or garden! He enjoyed his time in Mistatiim, his friends, and neighbours, and the old Church he called home He was diagnosed with Stage IV kidney cancer in 2018, enduring immunotherapy and chemotherapy until his passing after a massive stroke. He suffered in silence, never complaining, a shining example of deep faith teaching us humility, kindness, patience and acceptance. We will miss his superior knowledge and his ability to fix or make anything from scratch! He touched many lives. We were blessed to have him, and he will be greatly missed!

Richard is survived by his son Mitch Miller and grandson Lucas; his six siblings Andy (Sylvia) Renaud, Judy (John) Gerich, Jere (Deb) Renaud, Debbie Galloway, Mona Renaud, Bonnie Proll, and their families, as well as longtime friend Gord (Crystal) Hegedus.

Richard was predeceased by parents Alice and Robert Renaud, grandparents Albert (Rosanna) Verrault and Alfred (Mary) Renaud.
