Obituary for Irene May Nyuli

Irene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all; she departed us during the evening of February 14, 2021 in the Tisdale Hospital at the age of 95.
Irene was born August 8, 1925 to George and Daisy Grigsby in Long Branch, Ontario now known as Toronto and then they moved to Sunny Brow District near Bjorkdale, Saskatchewan in 1939. This is where she met Otto Joseph Nyuli and was married March 22, 1946. Their first home was on grandfather Nyuli’s home place on the west side of Bjork Lake. They lived a good life together for 62 years, raising 3 girls living in 3 provinces (Saskatchewan, Ontario and Manitoba). Irene and Otto purchased the general store in Peesane, Saskatchewan that Irene operated for 17 years, including moving to Crooked River. Irene loved her family most, along with fishing, curling, cards, puzzling and was a gifted gardener, cook and musician.
Irene was predeceased by her husband, parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Left to cherish Irene’s memory are her daughters Doreen (Barry) Reid, Lucille (Alfred) Gagne and Catherine (Michael) Young; grandchildren: Robin (Rishelle) Reid, Garth Gagne, Trevor (Melissa) Gagne, Karen (Mark) Van Dyk, Derek (Julie Isaac) Young; great grandchildren: Kelly, Kirsten, Dana and Sara Reid, Anson and Ryden Gagne, Sloan and Harper Gagne, Derian Young, Walker and Adrienne Van Dyk, Aubree, Emma and Brynn Young, Braxton and Laylee Isaac and great great grandson Winsten Young
Do remember to forget worry, anger and regret
Love while you have love to give
And Live while you have life to live
