Obituary for Kaethe Gerda Relland
Kaethe Gerda Relland (nee Schreiber) passed away peacefully at Tisdale hospital on June 4, 2021. Kaethe was the oldest daughter of Olga and Friedrick Schreiber, born October 20, 1936 in Lithuania. Kaethe had a younger sister, Edeltrault (Trauti).
Kaethe and her family came to Canada in 1949. In 1954, Kaethe married Allan Barnhill and together they farmed in the Salopian district. They had 4 children, Ken, Ron, Brian, & Susan. Allan died in 1975. In 1977, Kaethe married Louis Relland.
Kaethe loved dancing, gardening, playing cards, & traveling. She loved her family and her last words were "I have the best family." Kaethe moved into Caleb Village in August 2020 when she was diagnosed with cancer. She loved living at Caleb where she had many friends.
Kaethe is predeceased by her parents, Olga and Friedrick; her sister Trauti, her first husband Allan, her eldest son Ken, and her second husband Louis.
Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Ron, Brian, and daughter Susan; her grandchildren Amanda, Allan, Stuart, Lynn, Jenn, and Daniel; great-grandchildren Taneisha, Bailey, Carter, Piper, Eric, Brooke, Ethan, Luke, Callie, Penny, Peyton, Liam and Ryder. Kaethe's family would like to thank the staff at Tisdale Caleb Village for their care and support and hospital staff during her final days.
