Obituary for Wayne Charles Nicholson
Wayne Charles Nicholson, 78, of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to his parents Charles and Clara Nicholson on December 22, 1944 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
He married the love of his life, Elaine, on March 29, 1969, who will cherish his memory dearly. Also left to remember him fondly is his daughters Michelle Nicholson, Tania (Todd) Fitzsimmons and son Mark Nicholson; his beloved granddaughter Maia Fitzsimmons and grandsons Matthew and Kyle Nicholson; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Wayne was predeceased by his parents Charles and Clara Nicholson, his brother Morris Nicholson and sister Colleen Hourie.
Wayne was known for his love of baseball and football. His undying love for the Toronto Blue Jays and Saskatchewan Roughriders was evident as Wayne would rarely miss watching a game! His other passions included fishing, camping, playing cards and working on his truck and boat. Wayne had a wonderful sense of humor and would never pass up a chance to prank his family or friends.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Pineview Terrace for their loving care and support during his time spent there.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.
