Eddie was born on December 24, 1952, to Edward and Isabelle Wilson at the Tisdale Hospital. He was the oldest of six in the family. The family moved to Liberty in 1956.

Eddie took all his schooling at Liberty and Imperial and graduated in 1971. He worked in the Liberty area for farmer Claude Beaton and the R.M. of Big Arm.

Eddie moved to Ridgedale in 1973 and then worked for Potts Construction, Magnus Construction, and Key Lake Mining (Cameco) until June 1996. During this time, he was also farming with his dad and younger brother on a farm they purchased in 1976 at Bjorkdale. He farmed full-time until he moved to Tisdale in 2021 to a condo to be closer to medical help, and then to New Market Manor until his passing.

Eddie was a Lions Club member and served on the local Co-op Board.

Eddie was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Isabelle, and his brother, Ernest.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Gloria (Allan), Jean, Diana (Ken), and Donna (Rick). Nieces and nephews: Colinda, Tyler, Ryan, Lisa (Tyler), Paige (Tristan), Brooklynn (Mitchell), and Taylor (Jenna). Great-nieces and nephews: Braeden (Vada), Bryce, Casey, Lachlan, Evelyn, Tanner, Clayton, and Wyatt, as well as many other relatives and friends.
