Brian Allan Lake Obituary
Brian Allan Lake, the eldest child of Charles and Elizabeth Lake, was born on July 8, 1953, in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. He was raised in Regina, where he attended school and later began his career as a truck driver following graduation.
He developed a passion for martial arts and earned his Brown Belt in Karate, an accomplishment he was very proud of. His dedication and skill led him to compete in the United States.
Brian loved the water and was an avid swimmer, achieving lifeguard certification in his younger years. Brian also became a certified scuba diver. His certification allowed him to enjoy one of his favorite adventures—diving in Hawaii, a destination he was fortunate to visit twice.
As a young boy, Brian was active in Cubs and Scouts in Regina. One memorable highlight of his youth was having the opportunity to meet Queen Elizabeth II during one of her visits to Regina to observe the troops. He also cherished the many hours he spent with his two youngest uncles on the Schekk family farm, creating memories that remained special throughout his life.
Brian remained in the family home in Regina for most of his life, where he enjoyed the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Brian was predeceased by his father, Charles; his grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Elizabeth; his sister, Sharon (Peter); his nephew, Easton (Anja) and their children, Niklas and Kai; his niece, Eliza (Jason) and their children: Ryker, Dax and Killian; as well as extended family and friends.
Brian's life was marked by quiet accomplishments, and the simple joys of trucking, family, travel, and pursuing the things he loved. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
