It is with great sadness, that the family of Joan (Stonehouse) Kuervers, announce her passing on December 29, 2014 at the age of 74, at University Hospital in Saskatoon, Sk. Joan was born to parents Gordon and Ruth (Smith) Stonehouse on May 3, 1940 in Arborfield. Joan was the oldest of 3 children, sister Carol and brother Stan.
For several years Joan worked at Nibblers Family Restaurant in Tisdale. She was known for her love, kindness, thoughtfulness, friendships and most of all her cheerful smile. And don’t forget her nickname “Joany Boney”. She married Richard Kuervers on July 31, 1999, and they lived on a farm outside of Tisdale. Joan enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and gardening, but most of all spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren growing up. She also had a passion for animals, from family pets to watching birds and wildlife out the window. In 2008 Joan and Richard moved into Tisdale where she resided till her passing. Joan is predeceased by her parents Ruth and Gordon and her son-in-law Danny Nagy.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Richard, children: Val (Dale), Brenda, Terry (Heather), step-son Sheldon (Kathy), grandchildren: Micheal, Ricky (Stacey), Michelle (Jason), Corey, Angie (Ryan), Ashley (Lance), Kyle, Shantel (Linden) and Erika, step-grandchildren: Madisyn, Keyla and Jessica, great grandchildren: Lucas, Colby, Levi, Blake, Axel, Gaege and Sway, sister Carol, brother Stan, as well as many more family, friends and cats Fluffy and Tuffy.
