    James (Jim, Jimmy) Alexander McDiarmid Feb 28 1941 – Aug 2 2017

    Father , Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather

    In no particular order , Pipefitter, Curler, Building Mover, Boy Scout, Football Hockey and Ball Player, Horse Racer, Welder, Hunter, Saw Mill Operator, Outdoorsmen, Horse Breeder, Pigeon Breeder / Racer , Farmer, Neighbour & Friend, Boxer, Boozer, Bouncer, Harness Maker, Outfitter & Guide, Storyteller, Chuckwagon Racer, Saskatchewan Most Eligible Bachelor Prairies North Calendar May 2005 , Dancer, Storyteller, Paperboy, Dog Lover, Barroom Pool Player , Collector/Hoarder, and rumour has it Founding Member and President of Auctions Anonymous Mistatim Chapter. Much more remains to describe with a life so well lived, he got his moneys worth and then some.

    Jim faced a 18 month fight with Cancer with grit and determination, fighting through numerous surgeries, and Cancer treatments all to no avail. Near the end he chose to determine his own destiny and always the pioneer was the first patient in Tisdale to receive Medical Assistance in Dying.
    He was explicit in his request to thank The Cancer Clinic in Saskatoon, The Surgery Department @ St. Paul’s Hospital and he was particularly thankful for the care he received during his final two weeks that were spent at The Tisdale Hospital. A BIG thank you from Jim and his family to all the staff for making his final days so comfortable. Also thank you for all who took time to visit and call during his hospital stays.

    In keeping with Jim’s wishes there will be no funeral service, there will be a come and go memorial service prior to his remains will be interred at Silver Stream Cemetery at a later date to be announced.
