Myrle (White) Dunkley was born in the Neepawa, MB area at Glenholm, Manitoba on February 11, 1913. When she was 12 her family moved to Eldersley, SK where they operated a hotel until moving to a homestead southeast of Eldersley. Myrle met her husband Albert Dunkley in the Tisdale area and moved to Timmins, Ont in 1937 where they were married in 1942. They had one son Fred in Ontario before returning back to the Florentine District in 1949. They eventually moved back to the Eldersley area where they farmed and operated a store for four years before moving to McKay Tower in 1984. Myrle loved to crochet and knit and has made many afghans, doilies and beautiful clothing and blankets for her extended family and many friends. She also loved to get together with family and friends to dance or play cards. Myrle enjoyed life to the fullest and found her most joy spending time with her relatives, friends and neighbours. Myrle was predeceased by her: husband Albert Dunkley (1993); son Fred Dunkley (2007); parents Charles (1968) and Lillie (1929) White; sisters and brothers: Ethel (Alex Robertson), Ina (Pat Philips), Edna (Fred) Whitehouse, Elsie (Austin Dagg, Gregory Dagg, Leondard) Moen, Nellie (Fred Roberton), Harold (Norma) White, Russel (Marion) White , Frank (Adrienne) White and Kenzie Brown; mother and father-in-law Sara and Fred Dunkley. Myrle is survived by her loving family: sister Lillian Brown; daughter-in law Margaret Dunkley; grandchildren; Ken (Sandra Kutyn) Dunkley, Brad (Rilla) Dunkley, Linda (John) Van Santen, Cheryl (Dennis) Brezinski, Kelly (Michele Buhr) Dunkley and Melissa (Joe) Peters: great grandchildren; Chris Dunkley and Michelle Dunkley (Alex Lemay), Eric, Nicole (Lilian Lesponges) , Keith, Calvin and Brett Van Santen, Amanda and Alicia Dunkley, Courtney Dunkley and Chaunese Peters; step great grandchildren Bailey Kutyn and Chellsey Moreau and step great great grandchildren Hannah Kutyn and Chyanne Moreau and her many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family with special mention of Bev Merlin and also Henry (Rosella predeceased) Morissette, Mary-Ane Morissette, Shirley & Gerald Coulter who spent countless hours by Myrle's side.
