Wilma Noreen Jacobs was born October 22, 1929 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan to parents Melvin and Elva Thompson. Noreen received her schooling in McKague and Tisdale and then went on to Normal School in Saskatoon. Noreen went on to teach in the Beech Grove, Lightwoods, Sylvania and Mckague districts. After her teaching career Noreen ran the McKague Corner Store and gas station prior to retirement. Noreen married Kenneth Jacobs on July 15, 1948, and to this union had four children: Sandra, Lorinda, Shelley and Larry. They lived in the area the entire time; except for 3 years in British Columbia at the logging camps near Prince George. Noreen had many joys in her life; gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, baking, reading, playing cards and other games with family and friends. She also enjoyed community involvement; helping in the McKague communities. Noreen’s greatest happiness came from spending time with and watching her family; children, grandchildren and especially the great grandchildren.

Noreen is predeceased by her parents Melvin and Elva Thompson, step dad Bernard Styan, husband Ken, daughter Sandra Boulanger, son-in-law Victor Boulanger, grandson Kevin Boulanger and brother Morris Thompson, brothers-in-law Ronald, Maurice and Garry and sister-in-law Pauline Jacobs.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Lorinda, Shelley and Larry (Bonnie); grandchildren: Pattie, Kirk, Chandra, Kara, Kendra, Ryan, Kyle, Kaitlin, Kenny and Adam; 10 great grandchildren; brothers: Clayton (Betty Mae) Styan, Ken (Aline) Styan and Wayne (Marilyn) Styan; sister Audrey (Alvin) Breit and sisters-in-law Estelle Thompson, Geraldine Jacobs, Chris Jacobs and Eileen (Ed) Mayerhoffer; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
