Darlene Guest (nee Mitchell) was born on September 16, 1940 to Merle and Alvin Mitchell in Virden, Manitoba. She was the eldest of 2 children; younger sister Sharon (Hunt). Merle and Alvin divorced; and in the fall of 1949, Merle married Andrew Bridges and settled on a farm south east of Sylvania next to the Chamberlin homestead; that Darlene called home.
Darlene attended East Sylvania School and McKague School. In 1959 Darlene married Wilfred Guest from Sylvania. They had 4 children Jo-Anne, Lynn, Colin and David. Darlene stayed at home and raised the children. In later years she took a job at FrippFiber Form in Tisdale, and worked until the time of their closing. Darlene was active in all sports the children played and active in the community. Darlene loved family gatherings, traveling, gardening and family camping trips.
Darlene was predeceased by her mother Merle, father Andy Bridges, son David, grandsons Josh and Micheal Bourque and Nathan Fedirko.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Wilfred; daughters: Jo-Anne (Brad) Bourque and Lynn (Richard) Federiko and son Colin (Donna Jean); grandchildren: Phyllis (Jory), LoriAnn (Shawn), Kalum (Randy), Wes (Melanie), Shane (Jasmine), Ashley, Chantel, Amber, Jesse, Dustin, and Ali; step grandchildren: Andrew and Samantha; great grandchildren: Brittanny (Dan), Christian, Sydney, Ethan, Blake, Jason, Jordan, Layne, Daniellyn, Aubree, Madison, Remy, Domonick, Brody, Savannah, Zach, Jake, Kailyn, Lily, Hunter, Leanna and Everrett; great great grandchild Blaise; sister Sharon Hunt; sister-in-law Sandra Guest; aunts Lorraine Traub and Shirley Chamberlin; aunt Eilleen Chamberlin; as well as many numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
